Florida bass fishing

Bass Online -Peacocks

The Hackett family from Tennessee on two day, two boats, sport fishing peacock bass & non-native snakehead fishing.  Only in South Florida do you have opportunities for exotic freshwater fish.  What a great group of guys, our first day was peacock bass in Miami. They had lots of topwater action in the morning the afternnoon bite was on livebait & artificial.  It was a great day with 36 hard fighting peacock bass & 15 snakeheads on 2 nd day.

The Bullseye Snakeheads are the ones we have in Florida and are not considered game fish, so there are no limits or seasons on them. Bullseye looks like bowfins and have teeth you can catch them on livebait and artificial lure.  If you catch a snakehead, Do kill it and  do not release it back into the water. You should never release any kind of fish into waters it was not caught in.  We have some great fishery in Florida and exotic fish can and will wipe out other species, which makes our state the fishing capital of the world.  Florida law makes it a crime for anyone to release any exotic fish into state waters.

Do not release back!

Thanks guys looking forward to seeing you again.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….
